There are massive opportunities in the ICT market in Africa! E-commerce, E-marketing, online advertising and many other online business opportunities are plenty.

That Winning Feeling...

Is a great feeling, it is quite an amazing and great feeling. You feel like you can do anything right, you feel like the future is very bright, you feel like you are on top of the world, that's just the winning feeling. When Sihlangu beat Togo kaSomhlolo, they had a period when they enjoyed that winning feeling. When Barack Obama won the Democrats vote to be their main candidate, he got that winning feeling and it spurred him on to win the national US elections. When that project you had worked on got good grades, you were happy, you got that winning feeling. I can go on and on and on but you get my drift.

I happen to be an assistant coach for the Waterford Kamhlaba (WK) school soccer team and I was fortunate enough to join a group of young under 19 soccer boys from WK on a voyage, a journey into the unknown, to the far lands of Mafikeng, a secluded town in the North West of South Africa. We had been invited to a schools soccer tournament involving school teams from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. The boys did very well and we came home with silver medals (yes, beaten finalists). It was my first ever medal and I was filled with pride and joy. You would think why because we did not win the tournament? It is because we were beaten by a far better team in the final. But, I was proud because of the team spirit and bond that I felt throughout the weekend, those boys created a winning mentality, the notion that we cannot be beaten. If we give it our best shot, we can do it. That mentality was not created in a week but over a period of 2 and half months of hard work and training; waking up @ 6am to do fitness training (sacrifice and dedication). It was great! Being a part of this trip reminded me of joys of setting out to doing something and achieving even better. These boys did not know what they were going to face in the tournament, no one knew because it was the first time we had been to this event. But when they got there they played their hearts out and were rewarded... what a feeling!

This experience rekindled the winning feeling that had been been fading slowly. At the beginning of 2009, I told myself this has to be the year. The year when one makes things happen. I do not want to finish the year feeling as if I had not achieved my goals. One must aim high, avoid those potholes and get them fixed and look to a successful year. It is almost midnight on Tuesday 14 April as I upload the new website for Onswaziline Investments, www.onswaziline.com. I feel very proud because I feel that this website is one of my best work yet and it shall provide Onswaziline with a platform to really launch itself. There are massive opportunities in the ICT market in Africa! E-commerce, E-marketing, online advertising and many other online business opportunities are plenty!

There is also this fresh looking tfolakele.com which is about to really take off. Check out the fresh new features including: where to stay in Swaziland, what to do in Swaziland, items for sale, how to, jobs, vacancies, tenders and notices plus a glossary of ICT terms. I think it will be more interesting to people as there will be a lot more interesting content. Watch out for some new Young Swazis' profiles too: the +268 crew together with Sgonian Republik will be added soon. The Bantu Project crew will also be promoted right here on tfolakele.com. So go on tfolakala ku tfolakele. Feel free to post your comments and suggestions on how the website can be improved...

It has been a long hard road with lots of potholes along the way. I saw some of them and missed some of them but I never pretended they were not there. Instead I looked for a solution suddenly I feel that the dream is gaining momentum again. I'm getting the winning feeling again...
